Privacy policy

Last updated: 17 September 2026

This website is operated by In Property Group in connection with the letting of industrial units at 1 Muscat Road, Saxenburg Park 1, Stellenbosch Arterial.

We take the personal information you give us seriously. This policy explains what we collect when you use this website, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and what you are entitled to ask us to do with it. It is written to comply with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 ("POPIA").

By using this website or sending us an enquiry, you agree to your information being handled as described below.

Who we are

Responsible party: In Property Group
Address:
1 Muscat Road, Saxenburg Park 1, Stellenbosch Arterial, Rustdal, 7580
Email:
letting@inproperty.co.za

In POPIA terms, In Property Group is the "responsible party" for the personal information collected through this website. That means we decide why and how it is processed, and we are accountable for it.

Questions about this policy, or about information we hold about you, should go to letting@inproperty.co.za.

What this policy covers

This policy applies to the website at 1onmuscat.webflow.io and to enquiries you send us through it or to the email address published on it.

It does not cover:

  • other websites we link to, including Google Maps and the Community Improvement District and municipal resources referenced on the site — those have their own privacy policies and we have no control over them;
  • information you give In Property Group offline, by phone, or through a letting agent or broker, which is handled under In Property Group's own general privacy practices;
  • the terms of any lease you eventually sign, which are governed by the lease itself.

The information we collect

Information you give us

This is the main category, and it is almost always business contact information rather than private personal detail.

When you complete the reserve-a-unit enquiry form, request the floor plan pack, or email us directly, we collect:

  • your name;
  • your company or trading name;
  • your email address;
  • your telephone number;
  • what you told us you need — unit size, number of units, intended use of the space, preferred occupation date, budget indications;
  • whether you are enquiring as a prospective tenant, a broker, or on behalf of a client;
  • anything else you choose to write in the message field.

Give us only what is needed to answer your enquiry. Please do not send identity numbers, company registration documents, bank details or financial statements through the website enquiry form. If we reach the point of preparing a lease, we will ask for what is required separately and through a more appropriate channel.

Information collected automatically

Like nearly every website, this one records some technical information when you visit:

  • your IP address, in abbreviated form where our analytics settings allow;
  • your browser type, operating system and device type;
  • the pages you viewed, how long you spent on them, and the order you viewed them in;
  • the website or search that brought you here;
  • whether you downloaded the floor plan pack;
  • approximate location at city level, derived from your IP address.

This is collected through Google Analytics and through the ordinary operation of the website's hosting. It tells us which parts of the unit schedule and specification sections people actually read, and which units attract the most attention. We use it in aggregate. We do not use it to try to work out who an individual visitor is.

Our Cookie policy explains the cookies behind this in detail.

Information we do not collect

We do not collect special personal information as POPIA defines it — no health information, no biometric data, no religious, political or trade union affiliation, no criminal history. We do not knowingly collect information from children. We do not buy contact lists, and we do not build profiles on you from outside sources.

Why we process your information, and on what basis

POPIA requires us to have a lawful justification for every use. Ours are set out below.

To respond to your enquiry and allocate units. Units at 1 Muscat Road are allocated in the order they are reserved, so we need your contact details and requirements to place you in that order and come back to you. Justified under section 11(1)(b) of POPIA — processing necessary to conclude or perform under a contract with you — and under section 11(1)(d), where responding is a step you asked us to take.

To send you the information you asked for, such as the floor plan pack, unit specification sheet or site plan. Justified by your request.

To prepare and conclude a lease, if your enquiry progresses. Justified under section 11(1)(b).

To keep proper business records of enquiries, reservations and allocations, including so that we can show a unit was allocated fairly and in sequence. Justified under section 11(1)(f) — our legitimate interest in running the letting process properly and defending it if it is ever questioned.

To understand how the website is used and improve it. Justified under section 11(1)(f), our legitimate interest in a website that answers the questions tenants actually have.

To comply with the law, including tax, FICA and property legislation where it applies. Justified under section 11(1)(c).

Direct marketing

We will send you information about units at 1 Muscat Road, and about availability changes at this development, where you have enquired with us and you have not told us to stop. This is the "existing customer" position permitted by section 69(3) of POPIA.

We will not add you to a general property mailing list, sell your details to anyone, or pass them to other landlords or developments for their own marketing.

Every marketing email we send will tell you how to stop receiving them. You can also simply reply to any email from us, or write to letting@inproperty.co.za, and ask to be removed. We will action it promptly and at no cost to you.

Who we share your information with

We share your information only where there is a reason to, and only as far as that reason requires.

Inside In Property Group. The letting, administration and management staff who need it to deal with your enquiry.

The property owner. Where a reservation or lease proceeds, the landlord of 1 Muscat Road needs to know who is taking the unit.

Brokers and agents. If you came to us through a broker, or we involve one in your transaction, we will deal with them on your enquiry.

Professional advisers. Attorneys preparing lease documentation, and accountants or auditors, under their own confidentiality obligations.

Our service providers. The companies that run the technical parts of this website and our correspondence:

  • Webflow — website hosting and delivery;
  • Elfsight — the enquiry form and map display components embedded in the site;
  • Google — Google Analytics for website statistics, and Google Maps for the location display;
  • our email provider, which carries and stores the correspondence between us.

These providers act as "operators" under POPIA. They process information on our instruction, for the purposes we set, and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

Where the law requires it. To a court, regulator or public authority where we are legally obliged to disclose.

We do not sell your personal information. We never have and we do not intend to.

Information sent outside South Africa

Some of the service providers above host their systems outside South Africa, mainly in the United States and the European Union. Sending your information to them is a cross-border transfer under section 72 of POPIA.

We rely on these providers operating under contractual terms and data protection standards that give your information a level of protection comparable to POPIA, and on the transfer being necessary to perform under, or to take steps toward, our dealings with you.

In practice this means an enquiry you send through this website may be stored on a server outside South Africa. If you would rather that did not happen, email us at letting@inproperty.co.za instead of using the website form, or phone us.

How we protect your information

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to keep your information secure, as section 19 of POPIA requires:

  • the website is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection;
  • access to enquiry records is limited to the people who need it;
  • our email and hosting accounts are protected by strong, separately held passwords;
  • we work with established service providers who maintain their own security programmes;
  • we do not keep enquiry information for longer than we have a reason to.

No website or email system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee against every possibility. If your personal information is ever accessed by someone unauthorised in a way that creates a real risk to you, we will notify you and the Information Regulator as section 22 of POPIA requires.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not proceed: up to 24 months from your last contact with us, after which they are deleted. Letting cycles are long and it is common for an enquiry to resurface a year or more later.

Reservations and leases: for the duration of the lease and for at least five years after it ends, as required by tax and company law, and longer where a dispute or claim makes it necessary.

Website analytics: in aggregated, non-identifying form. The underlying Google Analytics data is retained for a limited period set in our account and then automatically deleted.

Marketing consent and opt-out records: for as long as needed to prove we honoured your choice.

Your rights

POPIA gives you the following rights over your personal information. They are free to exercise, other than a prescribed fee that may apply to a formal access request.

To know what we hold. You may ask us to confirm whether we hold personal information about you and to give you a copy of it.

To have it corrected. If something we hold is wrong, out of date or incomplete, tell us and we will fix it.

To have it deleted. You may ask us to delete information we no longer have a lawful reason to keep. Where we are required by law to retain something, we will tell you that and why.

To object. You may object, on reasonable grounds, to us processing your information where we rely on legitimate interest.

To stop marketing. You may tell us at any time to stop sending you marketing, and we will.

To withdraw consent. Where we rely on your consent, you may withdraw it. That does not affect anything lawfully done before you withdrew it.

To complain. You may complain to us, and you may complain to the Information Regulator.

To exercise any of these, email letting@inproperty.co.za with enough detail for us to identify your records. We will respond within a reasonable period and, in any event, within the timeframes POPIA sets. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, so that we do not hand your information to someone else.

Complaints to the Information Regulator

If you believe we have handled your personal information unlawfully, you are entitled to complain to the regulator, whether or not you have raised it with us first. We would appreciate the chance to put it right ourselves, but that is your choice, not a requirement.

Links to other websites

This website links out to Google Maps, to the floor plan pack hosted on our content delivery network, and to third-party resources about the Saxenburg Park node. Once you follow a link away from this site, you are on someone else's website and this policy stops applying. We are not responsible for how those websites handle your information, and we would encourage you to read their own privacy policies.

Children

This website markets industrial premises to businesses. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email letting@inproperty.co.za and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the development progresses, as the website changes, or as the law does. The version published here is always the current one, and the "last updated" date at the top tells you when it last changed. Where a change materially affects how we use information you have already given us, we will take reasonable steps to bring it to your attention.
